Today was continuing from where I left off yesterday, modelling my spirit characters from yesterday. I had my synopsis to write as well today, which was floating around in my mind, but I wasn't too worried about this, as it only had to be 250 words, something I could easily find the time to write today.
Today I made progress on modelling the Light and Dark spirits, two designs I feel really pleased with, and I really hope that they will look just as good in 3D. I worked on the Light Spirit first, which was going quite well to start with, but I was stuck for quite a while on the two lightning bolts that are supposed to coil around each other. It was also quite difficult to build these lightning bolts, and to get the shape to match my drawing as accurately as possible. However, after a while, I did solve the coil problem, as I had to mirror the geometry of the second lightning bolt twice, which to be honest was by chance, as I was trying to experiment different things that would rotate the second bolt to where I wanted it, but I just couldn't manage to get the second bolt to where I wanted it at all by rotating alone, no matter how hard I tried, so I was so glad and relieved when I used the mirror geometry tool on the lightning bolt, twice, and that it worked so successfully. This made me realise that I did make quite a challenge with my drawing of the Light Spirit that I was following throughout my modelling.
I am quite concerned about the fact that I won't have too much time to do my work until Sunday, as I am going to visit my sister in Kent this evening until Saturday morning
